Because
the LIFTING EQUIPMENT ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION (LEEA) is no ordinary trade
association. Its main aim is to enable its members to achieve and
maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity in the lifting
equipment products and services which they provide.
Full
membership of the Association cannot be achieved without conformity
with strict Technical Requirements covering equipment procedures,
standards, records and fully trained personnel, all of which are
subject to periodic audit to ensure that they are fully maintained.
Using the accumulated knowledge and experience gained by the
Association and its members over many years, the LEEA provides a fund
of information to individual members on all aspects of lifting
equipment design, manufacture, supply, servicing and safer use. It also
provides training courses for employees of members, leading to
examinations and the award of diplomas which, taken together with other
training and experience, can qualify the employee for registration as
having the required level of competence in this specialised field.
So
